After an investigation conducted by the Joint Investigative Unit to Fight Economic Crime and Corruption in Albania, along with the Internal Affairs Office of the Ministry of Interior, nine traffic police officials have been found guilty of graft, according to local media. The investigations, which lasted for several months, found the officers guilty of taking bribes on the Lushnja-Fier-Vlora highway in order to annul drivers' penalties.
