Risk Of Social Unrest To Remain Elevated

Following the outbreak of violent protests against government reforms in the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius, we have lowered the country's short-term political risk rating to 74.8 (from 82.9). We believe that the electorate's discontent with the government's fiscal stabilisation plan elevates the potential for further protests and social unrest in the medium term.
