Corruption Concerns Difficult To Erase

The recent release of Transparency International's 2010 Corruption Perceptions Index ratings highlight that Slovakia remains a regional laggard with regards to perceived levels of public sector graft. While the new centre-right administration has strong credentials to deliver improvements on levels of corruption, we stress that it will take considerable time and effort to improve foreign investment perceptions towards the country, with the judicial branch in particular requiring improved transparency.
