Favourable Graft Assessment Positive For EU Relations

In a sign that relations with Brussels could be on the mend and that efforts to tackle corruption are improving, the latest EU report on eradicating graft has painted a positive picture of Bulgaria's progress since 2008. We stress, however, that the government has still done little to reform public institutions and disincentivise corruption, which could have a deleterious impact on foreign investment and popular support going forward
