Industrial production expanded 9.7% y-o-y in April according to latest data from the Central Statistical Office, compared to growth of 2.8% and 8.1% in March and February respectively. This has been helped by low base effects and improving external demand. However, we expect the improvement to begin to moderate as key Western European export markets pursue strict austerity policies.
