According to the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia, the current account deficit has dropped considerably in January this year to €31.79 million,compared to €116.56 in the same period of 2009. The improvement was mostly driven by development in the goods trade account, with exports increasing by 17.6% and imports falling by 13.2% y-o-y.
