The Slovenian cabinet lost another member on March 10 when Agriculture Minister Milan Pogacnik resigned over a police corruption investigation which implicated him in a land-selling deal. Earlier in the year, Environment Minister Karl Erjavec left his post after the opposition pressured the government over his failure to improve waste management. While the resignations will weigh on government support, our core view is that the coalition government will remain intact. Indeed, the quick resignations of both ministers will help to mitigate some of the opposition criticism of the cabinet, thus potentially stabilising the domestic political situation over the medium
