Macroeconomic Forecast Kyrgyzstan

According to the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kyrgyzstan's current account deficit for Q309 came in at US$27.0mn down from a US$170mn surplus recorded in Q209. This brings the cumulative deficit over the period January-September to US$16.0mn, a significant narrowing from 2008's figure of US$443.0mn over the same period. As such, we hold to our view that the full-year current account deficit will have narrowed from US$358.8mn in 2008 to US$82.0mn in 2009
