Russia To Renew Oil Supplies

A new oil price agreement reached between Belarus and Russia on January 27 will ensure a renewal of oil supplies to Belarus, and onwards to European markets, at least until September 2010. While we note that Belarus will lose the ability to re-export oil onto European markets at a discounted price as a result of the deal, we expect relations between the two countries to remain stable going forward.
