Smer remains the most dominant political force in the country, and will undoubtedly form the next government following the parliamentary election, in our view. Indeed, in a survey conducted between August 31 and September 27 by Median SK, 42.9% of respondents said they intended on voting for the prime minister's party in the election, compared to only 16.3% of voters who said they would support the opposition Slovak Democratic and Christian Union (SDKU) party.
