According to latest data from the Institute of Statistics, consumer price inflation in Albania took a slight leg down in September, coming in at 2.0% y-o-y, compared to 2.2% in August and July. Though the ongoing depreciation of the lek poses a key risk to our forecasts going forward, we nevertheless believe that a weak medium-term growth outlook will keep consumer price inflation subdued through next year. We forecast inflation coming in at 1.6% and 1.9% at end-2009 and 2010, respectively.
