Credit Rating At Risk From Fiscal Position

We caution that the fairly minor revisions to Croatia's budget in July will likely prove inadequate for the unfolding recession and may result in a downgrade from the credit ratings agencies. Moreover, we stress that a failure to get the public finances under control could necessitate a financial bailout from the IMF, despite the new Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor so far denying such claims
