Deflation To Take Hold In 2009

Macedonia is likely to experience a significant period of deflation in 2009, although we believe that consumer prices will return to positive growth of 0.3% y-o-y by end-year on the back of the low base effect. Inflationary pressures will also remain muted into 2010 amid a situation of still-weak global demand.
