Georgian inflation fell to 4.4% y-o-y in January, down from 5.5% in December, and well below the 10.7% recorded in the same month of 2008. Going forward, we expect falling global food and energy prices to ensure a continuation of the disinflationary trend through 2009, and project headline inflation to slow to 3.0% by the end of the year.
