Despite emerging as the victor in recent parliamentary elections, the Labour Party looks unlikely to feature in the next government, following the decision by opponents to form a 'rainbow alliance' of left- and right-wing parties. BMI View: While investors may welcome the exclusion of the populist DP from government, an administration composed of ideologically disparate elements may prove unstable. The DP may be able to use more time on the fringe to consolidate its strength and might then be well positioned to step into power if the government collapsed.
