Selling Mazeikiu

While the government is united in its desire to purchase Russian oil firm Yukos’ 53.7% stake in domestic refiner Mazeikiu Nafta, disagreement has emerged over what should happen next. Prime Minister Algirdas Brazauskas wants to re-sell the company as quickly as possible together with up to 20% of the state’s current shareholding of 40.6%.
