BMI View : Croatia's external account dynamics are set to deteriorate in the medium term, largely on the heels of the ongoing slowdown in the eurozone, in addition to the continued tightening in global credit conditions. As such, we forecast the Croatian current account deficit expanding to 9.3% and 9.8% of GDP in 2008 and 2009, respectively, from 8.6% in 2007.
