Referral To ICJ Will Threaten Stability
September 2008 | Political Risk AnalysisWe believe Serbian President Boris Tadic's bid to seek a ruling from the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Kosovo's unilateral declaration of independence will allow Serbia to concentrate on political and economic reforms necessary for EU membership in the medium term. That said, we caution that this positive is far outweighed by the threat it poses to domestic and regional stability.
