Balancing EU And Russian Relations

We believe that recent positive overtures by Russia towards Moldova will lead to a shift in the tone but not the overall direction of Moldovan foreign policy. Indeed, we expect that in return for improved Russian relations Moldova will be prepared to remain politically neutral and not seek NATO membership. However, Moldova will not abandon its efforts to join the EU and will continue to seek to increase economic integration with the eurozone.
