EU Interested In Turkmen Gas

The Turkmen government has come under significant criticism following the arrest and alleged torture of Sazak Durdymuradov, a reporter for US-backed Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. A colleague of Durdymuradov claims that the reporter was taken to a psychiatric clinic which has a reputation for taking in critics of the government. The US government has subsequently urged the Turkmen government to address the issue and prevent further abuse.
