Macroeconomic Forecast Bosnia-Herzegovina
June 2008 | Macroeconomic ForecastsWe forecast economic growth slowing in 2008 owing largely to the indirect effect of a US recession and the direct effect of a eurozone slowdown. Indeed, the deterioration in external demand for Bosnian exports, as well as the tightening of global liquidity, will likely mean a deceleration in GDP growth to 5.8% this year. However, we maintain our long-term positive view on the Bosnian economy, and expect growth to pick up to 6.0% in 2009 alongside the economic recovery of the eurozone.
