Corruption To Remain A Core Concern
May 2008 | Political Risk AnalysisRomania's municipal elections, scheduled for June 1, will be an important indicator of the political mood of the electorate ahead of the November parliamentary election. However, we are concerned that Romania's limited progress with introducing anti-corruption measures will mean that tainted officials will be re-elected, hindering the country's ability to tackle corruption going forward.
