Risks To the Upside For Rates

While we hold to our view that the Hungarian policy rate will remain on hold at 8.50% through the remainder of the year, we caution that there are upside risks to our forecast. Whether there will be another hike or not will depend on developments in the forint as well as the pace of disinflation in the coming months.
