POLITICAL RISK - Voters Seek Right To Dissolve Saeima

A signature gathering campaign aimed at changing the constitution to give the public the right to dissolve parliament through referenda appears to have secured sufficient support for the president to instruct parliament to vote on the proposed changes. In the likely event that the legislature rejects the proposals, they will be put to a national referendum, possibly in the autumn.
