State Of Emergency Lifted
April 2008 | Ratings UpdateArmenia's 20-day state of emergency which was imposed following violent clashes between opposition protestors and security forces in the capital Yeveran, was lifted on March 21. The protestors were demanding the annulment of the presidential election held on February 19, which they claim was rigged to favour the Prime Minister Serzihik Sarksyan.
