March 2008 | Risk SummaryAzerbaijan's short-term political risk ratings score benefits from the policy continuity afforded by Aliyev's firm control of governmental institutions. Indeed, Azerbaijan outperforms the other Caucasus countries in our short-term political risk rating, leading the region with a score of 67.9, compared to 64.2 and 51.5 for Armenia and Georgia, respectively. Azerbaijan has a high rating in our 'Social Stability' category, securing a score of 65.0.
