POLITICAL RISK - Government's Popularity Falls

A recent opinion poll suggests that the conservative opposition party Homeland Union has overtaken the Social Democratic Party of Prime Minister Gediminas Kirkilas to become the country's most popular political party. The gap between the two parties is modest (two percentage points) and neither party can take much comfort from an approval rating of below 15% just seven months before parliamentary elections, which are scheduled for October.
