Credit Squeeze To Overshadow Economy

Kazakhstan's economy is among the most vulnerable emerging market economies to tighter global credit conditions. A dry-up in bank loans will see economic growth slow significantly this year, as access to credit will remain restricted. Moreover, low confidence in the banking system suggests that the bank sector is not yet off the hook.
