New Ratings: Convergence To Underpin Business Environment
September 2007 | Economic AnalysisOur new business environment (BE) ratings reaffirm our view that convergence remains the main factor underpinning robust scores in central and south-eastern Europe with the level of EU integration correlating with the strength of the BE rating. That said, the overwhelming pattern is for low ratings in the CIS, with constitutional wrangling in some Central Asian countries in particular, threatening possible ratings downgrades.
