Macedonian money supply continues to expand rapidly with M4 growing by 17.6% thus far this year, to reach MKD160.2bn at the end of July. Indeed, as a result of the latest figures we have raised our end-year forecast for M4 to MKD175.0bn, a 28.4% increase, up from a 26.0% annual increase in 2006. In line with our expectations for the country's economic growth to begin accelerating in 2007, we have also raised our forecasts through our five-year forecast period, with M4 money supply now forecast to reach MKD245.4bn by 2011.
