Poland Takes Centre Stage At EU Summit
July 2007 | Risk SummaryThe Poles found themselves in the midst of the cut and thrust of the June EU summit, which was called to try and find a way out of the Constitution debacle. The Kaczynski brothers pushed hard for qualified majority voting weights more favourable to Poland, and more EU parliament seats, which ruffled many feathers amongst the 'old' member states.
