In our view, there are considerable risks that political uncertainty will prevail in the medium term. After more than three months since parliamentary elections, the democratic parties have failed to form a government and there is only very limited time left before new elections will have to be called on May 14. Aside from the wrangling over government posts, especially the premiership, the unresolved political status of Kosovo has played an integral part in the delay of the coalition talks.
