New Government Confirmed

As anticipated by BMI, Estonia's new government is a three-party, centre-right coalition of the Reform Party, the Union of Pro Patria and Res Publica, and the Social Democratic Party. The coalition will have 60 seats in the 101-seat parliament and will probably receive the support of the Green Party (which has six seats) on many policy issues. Reform's Andrus Ansip remains the country's prime minister. The new government is likely to be more prudent and less populist than a coalition featuring the left-leaning opposition parties but, less reassuringly, appears to have ruled out adopting additional measures to slow the pace
