While political ructions between the government and opposition groups continue, the moderate Movement for Reforms has issued several key demands to the government, including constitutional reform, turning the state broadcasting service into a public organisation and consultation with the opposition on the appointment of security officials. President Bakiyev has removed his veto from the proposed television bill and pledged to create a working group to draft constitutional amendments.
