BMI View: Croatia's unemployment rate crept up to 17.0% in December, from 16.9% in November. A 1.4pp reduction since the start of the year is a sizeable achievement. However, the average rate in the EU25 in November was just 7.7%, and the Croatian youth unemployment rate exceeds 25%. The long-term unemployment rate remained over 50%.
