Growth In Excess Of 7% For 2007

BMI View: According to official figures, the Uzbek economy continues to grow at a healthy pace, with H106 annual expansion of 6.6%. Upwardly negotiated gas export deals with neighbours Tajikistan and Krygzstan, together with a healthy economic outlook for key trading partners in 2007, have caused us to raise our export projections going forward. We expect average real GDP growth of 7.0% to 2009.
