October 2006 | Macroeconomic ForecastsNet average monthly wages stood at BAM591 in August 2006, which is up from BAM538 in 2005 and double the 1998 level. There is naturally considerable potential for wage growth, and this is reflected in our GDP per capita forecasts, which we see rising to BAM6,954 by the end of our forecast period in 2011.
