Macroeconomic Forecast Croatia

September 2006 | Macroeconomic Forecasts

BMI View: The trade gap widened in the first seven months of the year to US$6.4bn, up from US$5.5 for the first six months. We maintain our end-year projection of a US$10.5bn shortfall, which will in turn contribute to a larger current account deficit than that seen in 2005. Our 2006 forecast is for a deficit equivalent to 6.8% of GDP, which is in keeping with a trend of widening external imbalances across the region this year.
