The Romanian prime minister has confirmed a radical revamp of the cabinet in an effort to reinvigorate EU accession efforts, though the move may have also embraced an element of political score-settling. With a decision on Romania's EU candidacy due to be taken next spring, it is hoped that the decision to restructure the cabinet - the first such reorganisation undertaken by the government since its appointment last year - will also be the last significant reshuffle before the country's EU membership fate is
