The creation of a new constitution, a key condition for signing the EU's Stability and Association Agreement (SAA), is already facing complications in Serbia's domestic political sphere. Both the ruling coalition and opposition Democrat party have developed their own working drafts to present the newly formed 'Constitutional Committee', which will work on adjusting and refining the finished document before a public referendum is held to approve it.
