Leader of the main opposition Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha, has spoken of his party's priorities ahead of parliamentary elections slated for later this year. According to Berisha, the DP's manifesto will centre on economic reforms designed to create new jobs, improve the investment climate and enhance small businesses. Prime Minister Fatos Nano, leader of the ruling Socialist Party (SP), has expressed his belief that July 3 would be the most suitable date for elections to be held as this would be in keeping with legal stipulations which call for a vote to take place in July 2005.
