The leaders of Georgia's separatist provinces, along with that of Moldova's Transdniestria region, have pledged to support each-other's independence ambitions. The increased co-operation was likely inspired indirectly by Montenegro successful independence referendum, though we do not believe it will change the course of diplomacy significantly in this case. Indeed, we do not foresee an end to these frozen conflicts in the next two years, with a fragile peace punctuated with outbreaks of violence.
