In light of a deteriorating economic performance during the course of 2005, BMI has again lowered its forecast for annual GDP growth, to just 2.5% from 5.0%. Finally bowing to the inevitable, the authorities have also cut the long unrealistic official 6.0-6.5% growth forecast to 4%.
