Hungarian Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany has confirmed his four nominees to the monetary policy council of the National Bank of Hungary (NBH). They are Peter Bihari, Judit Nemenyi, Csaba Csaki and Tamas Banfi. Bihari is currently an economist at a private firm, which focuses on macroeconomics and monetary policy, while Nemenyi is an economist at a left-leaning think-tank and a former managing director of the NBH's economics and research department. Banfi and Csaki are both senior academics at Budapest's Corvinus University, specialising in finance and agricultural economics respectively.
