The government of Stanislav Gross has won a parliamentary vote of confidence, by a narrow 101 to 99 votes. BMI View: The unity of the new government, which is dominated by the CSSD, is threatened by divisions within the ranks of the junior coalition member, the US-DEU. Although plans for fiscal consolidation may help to shore up support among the US-DEU, we anticipate that resistance within the CSSD to planned reforms could hinder policy progress.
