Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic told the newspaper Vecernje novosti that Serbia 'wants to join the EU, but not at all costs', referring to comments in a recent EU report which called on Belgrade to respect Kosovo's territorial integrity. Serbia still refuses to recognise Kosovan independence. However, Dacic claimed that Serbia will continue to harmonise its legislation with EU conventions. We expect the country to advance slowly and haltingly towards EU membership, but not achieve accession before 2020.
