The militant Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) has suffered 500 casualties over the past month, according to Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The casualties were a result of various operations launched by the Turkish armed forces against the organisation. There has been a major intensification in fighting between the Turkish government and the terrorist Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in the past few months, and this has at least partly been responsible for worsening relations between the AKP and the BDP, the pro-Kurdish party.
