Opposition To Grow More Powerful

The growing popularity of opposition parties ahead of the June 28 election is partly the result of the recent imprisonment of former Mongolian President Nambaryn Enkhbayar. We remain affirmed in our view that opposition parties will grow more influential giving more weight to environmental and social considerations in future dealings with foreign mining firms.
