Challenging Business Environment No Brake On Investment
June 2012 |Our 2012 proprietary business environment ratings reflect the vast challenges involved in investing in Turkmenistan, with a score of 37.6 out of 100, the second lowest in the Central and Eastern European region. However, we maintain that given the country's vast natural resources and the government's drive to increase foreign direct investment, investor sentiment towards the country will remain relatively sanguine for those willing to tolerate the risk.
