Hungary's capital Budapest was rocked by protests once again on January 21, except unlike those in early January against changes to the country's constitution, these were in support of Prime Minister Viktor Orban's government. The rally reportedly attracted 100,000 supporters (with some sources placing the number a lot higher) and follows similar but smaller protests witnessed the previous weekend. While this signals that Fidesz still has a large base of support, we expect the party's popularity to diminish in 2012 as the domestic economic environment remains
